Arts & Crafts at Downey Care Center

Yesterday, staff members from the A-1 Home Care family took a day trip to the Downey Care Center to lead a round of Arts & Crafts. With colorful papers, markers, stencils, and sparkly stickers in tow, we came in, greeted the staff, and rounded up a large group of senior residents to make personalized bookmarks for our January activity!

We made lots of great new friends!

At the end of our activity, the elders brushed off their stations and enjoyed snacks as we brought out the finale of our event. A surprise raffle! We gathered everyone's name on scraps of paper, and summoned the activity director to select a slip with the winner's name on it. The winner would be given a lovely snack basket with cookies, candy, and other goodies to take home. 

 And the winner was....Betty!
